About Bioterra

As part of the national education system, Bioterra University Bucharest from Romania operates under the Constitution, originating in Law no. 480, published in the Official Gazette of Romania, Part I, no. 518 of 17.07.2002, amended by Law 480 of 19 December 2006. The legal regime of the University is a private law legal person.

Bioterra University operates under the Constitution of Romania, in compliance with the Education Law no. 1/2011, of Law no. 87 of 10 April 2006 approving Government Emergency Ordinance no. 75/2005 regarding quality assurance of education, other legal and university autonomy, of Law no. 88/1993 regarding higher education institutions accreditation and the accreditation.

According to art. 116 (1) of Law no. 480/2006, as the Education Act 2011, Bioterra Bucharest University is a private institution of higher education that is free, open, independent, both academically and economic-financial, the cornerstone of private property guaranteed by the Constitution Romania.

University name "Bioterra" which comprises two scholar terms - bio (life) and Terra (Earth) space belonging terms of Greek and Roman culture, envisages a role, completely different, which have played its principal founders, Mr. Ph.D. Engineer. Ion Nicolae, Member of the Academy of Scientists, geneticist exception of Romania and Mrs. Ph.D. Professor Floarea Nicolae, admirable scientific.

University Administration envisages non-discriminatory principles, rejecting ideas, currents and attitudes that are anti-democratic, xenophobic and racist. As an institution of higher education, Bioterra University from Bucharest is open to all Romanian and foreign citizens, under graduation preliminary studies concluded with baccalaureate and entrance exam. The education process is usually conducted in Romanian, with the possibility of organizing training courses or cycles, partial or total, in national minority languages or international languages, if at least 20 applicants at a specialty, approval of the Governing Council / Senate.

Bioterra University of Bucharest has many academic and scientific cooperation relations with universities in Europe, Africa and Asia consisting in partnerships on joint achievement of scientific projects, exploitation of research through internal publications (annals, scientific bulletins, magazines specialist, etc.) and international publications (Congresses, Symposiums, shows Invention and Inventions, seminars, etc.) where they can present the results of studies and research of high scientific implications in all areas of life.

Recently Bioterra University has proposed to have partnerships in higher education with universities of high prestige in England by NCC Education , an institution of high academic reputation and competence .

Bioterra University from Bucharest is an academic community, made up of teachers, researchers, teaching staff, teaching-auxiliary, students, technical and administrative staff, who bring their own contribution to the institutional development, the promotion of culture and its prestige National, European and International to Community.

In the university are prohibited political events and actions, partisan propaganda activities that go against the general rules of morality or laws of the country.

Bioterra University of  Bucharest complies to romanian education laws and shares The Magna Charta of European Universities (Bologna 1988), The Lima Declaration on Academic Freedom and Autonomy of Institution of highes Education (1988), acceding to the European University Association, the International Association Universities, the Association of Universities Danubian the Lisbon Declaration (1996), the Bologna Declaration (1999), the Berlin Declaration (2003) and the Bergen Declaration (2005).

Bioterra University from Bucharest is open for renewal. It evolves based on strategic management plan and annual operational plans of development, developed by special committees of the Senate and bodies analysis and forecasting, by type of study, majors and research units. These research studies and academic curricula are considering connected to the free, integral and harmonious human individuality, formation of autonomous personality, assuming a strict value system necessary for personal fulfillment and development, the development of entrepreneurship, for developing active citizens in society, social inclusion and employment of graduates in the labor market.
